Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Academy (OIAA) operates under the umbrella of
the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Centre, a non-profit organization established in 2019 to serve the educational, spiritual, and community needs of Muslims in Canada. Guided by the Centre’s vision, OIAA was developed to provide a high-quality Islamic education that meets provincial academic standards while nurturing strong Islamic identity and character.

Inspired by the leadership, justice, and integrity of Umar ibn Al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه), OIAA is committed to nurturing students academically, spiritually, morally, and socially. From its early years, the Academy focused on building a strong foundation for excellence, introducing Qur’an and Tahfeez programs alongside a robust academic curriculum.

Through dedicated leadership, experienced educators, and strong community partnerships, OIAA achieved full provincial accreditation in 2024—a significant milestone reflecting its commitment to quality education, governance, and student well-being. The Academy currently offers Full-Day Kindergarten and Elementary programs, with plans to expand to Junior High and High School beginning in the 2026 school year.

At OIAA, we work in partnership with families to develop confident, compassionate, and responsible students who are well-prepared to succeed academically and live their faith with integrity in the wider Canadian society.
